She has the intimate voice and acoustic guitar of Joni Mitchell. She's Stevie Nicks morphed with Loreena McKennitt. She's a little bit Celtic, a little bit Neil Young...and she plays violin with a Detroit edge.

A multiple Detroit Music Award winner, Sarana started writing and playing at the age of 10 and was performing internationally at age 12. She's worked with many people including grammy award winners Don Was (everyone from Willie Nelson to Rolling Stones) & Steve King (Eminem), and producer Ben Grosse (Debbie Harry, B-52s).

Aside from 6 Detroit Music Awards she has received several other nominations in rock, acoustic and country categories.
In her twenties, VerLin created the band "Natasha" which won a Detroit Music (MetroX) Award for Best New Talent. She also won Best Instrumentalist three years in a row and is in the Detroit Metro Times Music Hall of Fame alongside prestigious musicians such as Aretha Franklin and Iggy Pop. She was one of the original members of the group Dark Carnival, a rotating group of superstars including the late Ron Asheton and NY poet Jim Carroll.

With classical training and rock roots, her current style is dedicated to exploring the boundaries of Pop, Folk, Rock, Alt-Country, Celtic and Americana..and where these lines blur is where she thrives!
