Carter Fox is an upright and electric bassist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Philadelphia, PA. He has worked with Chuck Treece (McRad, Bad Brains), Grammy-nominated engineer and producer David Ivory (Halestorm, the Roots), Freddie Jackson, tyDi, Leaf Walker, Tayyib Ali, Adventure Club, Judah Priest, and The Maniac Agenda. He is known for his ability to perform and produce in various styles, and is the student of world-renown bassist Gerald Veasley and Kjell Benner (Sister Sledge, Quiet Riot, Magnum). In addition to his solo work, Carter currently performs with the "genre-defying" band Ju-Taun, based in Williamstown, NJ. Their debut EP is due out in 2015.

In 2007, at age 16, Fox released his debut album "World Premier" independently, gaining the attention of notable bassists such as Victor Wooten, Gary Willis, and Bakhiti Kumalo. He received an endorsement with Benavente Guitars and Basses based out of Grants Pass, Oregon. He released a follow-up EP in 2008 titled "The Funkin' EP" and an LP in 2009 titled "Suburbia" on NPK Recordings. In 2010, he released "Pride" EP on ToFo Records, a label founded by Fox and his college roommate, Dan Toll, and his version of the Beatles' "Let it Be" received international airplay on Smooth Jazz networks and radio.

In 2011, Carter joined the punk/rock/soul band Platinum Mustache and signed to Flexitone Records. Between 2011 and 2013, the band released an EP and toured the east coast of the US, performing at notable venues such as Hard Rock Cafes and House of Blues along the coast. The band went on hiatus in the fall of 2013. He was approached to join Ju-Taun as an official member at this time.

On July 1, 2014, Fox's latest release "Existential" was released by Fox with assistance from Mad Dragon Music, an affiliate of Mad Dragon Records, out of Philadelphia, PA.

On December 20, 2014, Fox released a special edition of Existential titled "Golden Rule", a 6-song EP version of his 21-song album.
