The Mongrels of Passion are Tim Gaze and Vince Lovegrove.

Both are stalwarts of Australian music and have been pivotal, intimate and pro-active associates of the following musical artists: Tamam Shud, Rose Tattoo, Jimmy Barnes, Ariel, Gyan, Valentines, Divinyls, Cold Chisel, Bon Scott, AC/DC, Ian Moss, Rick Grossman, Chrissie Amphlett, Mark McEntee, and many more.

Midnight Oil’s Rob Hirst says the following about Mongrels Of Passion: “These new songs from Mongrels of Passion are tough! A touch of the Joe Strummers, methinks. Protest music returns, with a vengeance!”

But the songs are not just political. This is a collection of songs, lyrically hard core, with a unique, quirky sound, winding straight to the heart of the matter; no frills, no bullshit; ruff’n’raw rock’n’roll.

Steeped in the history of Australian rock music, formative members - internationally renown guitar legend Tim Gaze and Oz rock pioneer Vince Lovegrove - are exponents of Australian music, their collective influences and experiences creating their own sound.

Gaze and Lovegrove have combined forces and formed Mongrels Of Passion, a fierce band that spans the gamut of rock music, meshing the passion of protest, and the heart and soul of love songs with lament. And sometimes a sardonic perverted look at our lives.

Long-time Gaze Collaborator, mongrel Rob Grosser has provided percussion on most songs here.

This is a long term song writing, recording and performance collaboration.
