Ben Hoganson is an independent folk rock musician from suburban St. Paul, Minnesota. His influences come largely from the singer-songwriters of the 1960s and 70s, but also Brit rock and American roots rock. His voice has sometimes been compared to Ben Gibbard's of Death Cab for Cutie, and his guitar style reminiscent of Paul Simon's and James Taylor's.

He has performed mostly as a solo artist, but did play for a while in the Minneapolis band, Duplomacy, the brain child of Andy Flynn. Some of his guitar playing can be heard on the Duplomacy album, "All These Long Drives."

Ben left the band to pursue his graduate degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he'd busk on State Street in his free time, taking after artists like Mary Lou Lord and once running into one of his inspirations, Freedy Johnston outside the Cafe Montmartre. He now lives in Idaho.
