Young Ice 20 years old was raised in Los Angeles, and in spite of the gang ridden streets of LA Young Ice kept his focus. He has been rapping since he was sixteen years old. YI, used to watch the top rap artist perform on 106 & Park free style Friday on Bet and that's where he learned different styles of rapping and how to use word play and such.

Young Ice has performed all around the country and won the title Best In The West at a local radio station talent show hosted by LA disc jockey Chip Munk. YI ran into some misfortune when he was about to open for Jive Records and Bay area Rapper Too
Short. On the way to the venue he was hit by a car while crossing the street and received injuries that resulted in severe brain damage. He couldn't talk, walk or remebmer anyone or anybody. The doctors said he was going to be a vegetable but the good Lord had the last word and other plans for Young Ice life, he was super naturally healed, now he's back with great single, album, DVD and ready to take his place amongst the best in the music industry.
