Baiano e os Novos Caetanos was a parody/satire of the Tropicália artists Caetano Veloso and the band Novos Baianos formed by well-known Brazilian satirists Chico Anysio, Arnaud Rodrigues and collaborator Renato Piau in the 1970s. The band released four records, gaining enormous popularity in the 70s and early 80s for their smart, humorous lyrics and first-rate musical arrangements.
