Nice Guy Lyrics

They tell me I'm a nice guy but I don't wanna be a nice guy
When I look up at the night sky my heart won't break my fear won't go away
They say my marks made, pack my bags
Hitch that saddle and took that drag
One day Imma touch the sky
And when I do I'll be tryna find you

Make my heart break
Get um where I fit in and it's gonna take a killin'
Till I finally make a livin'
Willin' sittin on about half a million
All my sons all my loved ones chillin'
See me, I'm not him.
I climb, rocks out that wine box
This hear is the new me
Won't stop now
I propose a toast to my foes and got down
Now may I twist this flow
Till ya'll might say my 'ish could blow
Just goes to show you won't grow till you
And I don't wanna be a nice guy no mo'
They tell me I'm a nice guy but I don't wanna be a nice guy
When I look up at the night sky my heart won't break my fear won't go away
They say my marks made, pack my bags
Hitch that saddle and took that drag
One day Imma touch the sky
And when I do I'll be tryna find you

They say nice guys always finish last
Instant karma get ya partna pass on the grass
But then he sips himself a glass
One that's passed on from his past
That's when he packs up and leaves
Gasses up and rolls up his sleeves
That's his luck, he's out the door and he don't really wanna be a nice guy no mo'
So they tell me I'm a nice guy but I don't wanna be a nice guy
When I look up at the night sky my heart won't break my fear won't go away
They say my marks made, pack my bags
Hitch that saddle and took that drag
One day Imma touch the sky
And when I do I'll be tryna find you

They say that I'm a nice guy
I'm a nice guy
And nice guys always finish last oh oh oh

They tell me I'm a nice guy but I don't wanna be a nice guy
When I look up at the night sky my heart won't break my fear won't go away
Ya'll say my marks made, pack my bags
Hitch that saddle and took that drag
One day Imma touch the sky
And when I do I'll be tryna find you

My heart break
I can't take this so I make this escape
They get a little bit afraid
Little plain, basic mistakes plague my existence
Made my choice to stay mainly in this land
Maybe this ish ain't crazy
It's just they see me and I'm not him
I hot box to the top and stop them
I'll box any box you put me in
Hot to death you can't stop my fresh.
So with that said I'm ready to go
and I don't really wanna be a nice guy no mo'

So they tell me I'm a nice guy
I don't wanna be a nice guy
When I look up at the night sky my heart won't break my fear won't go away
Ya'll say my marks made, pack my bags
Hitch that saddle and took that drag
One day imma touch the sky
And when I do I'll be tryna find you

Learning to play piano by ear, mimicking riffs and bass lines he heard on the radio and television; this was the beginning of Rich Quick’s music career. At the age of 7 he obtained a copy of Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise”. The CD had another track on it, the instrumental which sampled Stevie Wonder’s “Pastime Paradise” from Songs In The Key Of Life Vol. 1. Quick spent hours penning rhymes to the instrumental as a child not knowing this was the start of a life long passion.
Born and raised in Woodbury New Jersey, Quick spent his grade school years listening to music and learning how to write raps. In middle-school, Quick met two other young rap artists named Anthony “Loc” McCoy and Maurice “Moe Psalms” Junius, then known as Moe Cheeks. They set out to gather a super-group of best local emcee’s. The group gradually grew to six members; Loc, Moesama, J-Wev, Patch, Shad Dook and of course, Rich Quick. They was known as Rag Tag due to their diverse and disorderly composition.

In 2002 Rich Quick released his first solo project, “Get Rich Quick” which along with appearances on Rag Tag group projects helped build the buzz for his follow up LP “The Movement” in 2004. By late 2005 Rich had caught the attention of then Blakout Records President Ccelli. After Blakout Records dissolved Quick linked back with Ccelli and Jodie to join their roster at Exponent Entertainment, a Philadelphia based Hip-Hop management company. This introduced Rich to the Philadephia Hip Hop scene. He began building his buzz in the Philly area but performing at various high profile shows and appearing DJ NoPhrillz and Benja Styles mixtapes.

In April 2012 Rich Quick released “I'm With The DJ” Hosted by DJ NoPhrillz and Benja Styles. The mixtape was deemed by critics as a tribute to the many art forms within the Hip Hop culture. Rich created a strong foundation for the tape by showing a well rounded view of the art of emceeing, experimenting with song structure, unique rhyme patterns and flows. The first 500 physical copies of the mixtape included 1 of 5 limited edition hand drawn Hip Hop themed Art Cards. Rich included the Art Cards as a testament to Hip Hop's influence on art and pop culture. The mixtape helped Rich get featured on websites like Allhiphop, TheSource, RapMusic and more. Rich also landed a whirlwind of interviews, cyphers, features and was propelled to doing more than 80 shows in 2012.

During Rich's tour promoting “I'm With The DJ” Rich was asked to perform with notable New Jersey producer Mr. Green at event called Beats and Rhymes. This show was a turning point in Rich's career. It was that evening Quick began a conversation with Jeff Davis aka Stress the White Boy. Stress impressed by Rich's performance invited Rich to work on some records with his production group Streece, Stress and Chuck Treece. Once in the studio the artistic chemistry between Rich, Stress and Chuck become apparent and the three decided to work on an EP titled “Sad Songz”. Slated for release summer 2013 Sad Songz is sure to take Rich's career to next level. Read more on Last.fm.
