Adam "A-FLO" Flores was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Ever since he was born, A-FLO grew up around music. His father was a music producer/engineer, and his mother sang in a contemporary group called "Turning Point" and the choir at the Church of the Revelation. While growing up, he developed a great love for music. His sister "Kelly Kelz" and him began to sing in a children's choir when they were younger and really enjoyed it. They became more involved musically. At the age of eight years old, A-FLO began rapping. His father had written a verse for a song. The verse was for a "Turning Point" song and they wanted to perform the song at concerts. His father felt he wasn't cut out for performing a rap live in concert so they didn't know what to do. One day at one of their practices while rehearsing the song, they heard A-FLO rapping the verse to himself. They had an idea, why not let this young eight year old boy perform with us? And that's where it all started. A-FLO began performing the song at numerous concerts with "Turning Point". He was a natural "crowd pleaser". As a few years passed on, the performances slowed down and the group went their seperate ways. During the transition, A-FLO's sister, "Kelly Kelz" joined a R&B group called Focused. They began performing at several shows and were doing really well. But like Turning Point, as years went on, so did they. A-FLO and his family moved from the Bronx to Tampa, Florida where he currently resides. Kelly Kelz and his father "Chip" Flores had an idea. They would restart Focused but with new members. The group FoCuSeD was now A-FLO, Kelly Kelz and a couple of their friends. No longer an only R&B group, but hip-hop was now in the mix. The group went through a few changes and had quite a buzz in the Florida area. But as they grew older, they each had different passions pulling them. While with the group, A-FLO released his first mixtape at 14 years old which was self-titled "A-FLO". The mixtape did surprisingly well. He was able to perform at quite a few places with his own material, as well as perform with FoCuSeD. Two years later, he released another mixtape titled "I'm FLOwin' Mixtape". This mixtape did even better than the first. He got some pretty good solo recognition and become performing in new places. The group FoCuSeD decided to go their seperate ways and each person continued to pursue music. In 2011, he released his third mixtape titled "R.hymes A.nd W.isdom". The mixtape did really well and got great recognition. He got the chance to perform in a lot of new places, even got the chance to be part of a few tours. He is working on music all the time and is following the call he was given. To get his music, go to the websites listed below. SOLI DEO GLORIA! Read more on Last.fm.
