Thomas Eldorado Gun III (Tommy to his friends).
You may know Tommy from his time in any of these following bands: 40oz of Spite, The Hubies, Nuke & The Living Dead, Necrophilicons, The Beat-Ups, Ten Second March. As well as his solo work.
Tommy plays what today would be considered Folk Punk. When he first started writing and recording acoustic punk records years ago, no one really called it that in Michigan. Years after releasing a hand full of records, other Folk Punk musicians in Michigan started to pop up more.
It all started, mainly out of bordom of not playing in a band, Thomas Gun sat down and wrote a bunch of solo songs and went into the studio to record them. That outcome became 2003's "the Misadventures of a Deadbeat." 9 songs ranging from straight forward acoustic punk rock right down to some catchy sing-a-long rockabilly. In 2005 he recorded a demo EP entitled "the Drop Dead EP" with about 10 songs on it. In the summer of 2006 he layed down songs for an 8 track CD entitled "I'm Poison." Shortly after Halloween of 2006 he released a 4 song EP entitled the "Rotten EP." Sometime during January of 2007 he went into Rob Rotten's (Necrophilicons/Ten Second March) recording studio to lay down a couple new songs.. which were later released as the Black Cat Sessions.
In the summer of 2008 Tommy released "Working With Rats & Thieves" his first true full length CD, 16 songs ranging from tales of being on the run as a hitman, murder, and monsters.
In late 2008 Tommy released 2 records "THE SOAPBOX EP" .. 8 songs pointing fingers at our music scenes flaws! And "10 Necromantic Classics" a split EP w/ Christophe (an acoustic horror punk split).
Fall of 2009 Tommy released "The Splatter EP" 4 folk punk songs about murder and horror released as a free Halloween Giveaway. The beginning of 2010 Tommy released his 2nd official full length, "Broke" .. songs about the economy/employment/the music scene/love/drug use/and just having fun.
In April of 2010 Tommy formed a 3 piece punk rock outfit called "40oz of Spite" and released a 5 song punk rock album "Drink It Down EP" get it at http://www.reverbnation.com/40ozofspite
His style is raw, stripped down acoustic punk rock with a touch of rockabilly thrown into the mix. His new songs represent where he is at right now with his music.. songs about just about anything. Tommy has been playing in bands for years and has shared the stage with many great ones such as, Agent Orange, Misfits, D.R.I., Kevin Seconds, Mustard Plug, Far From Finished, The Tossers, Flatfoot 56, The Tossers, Left Alone, Thought Riot, Much The Same, The Swellers, Mad Marge & The Stonecutters, Koffin Kats, Country Bob & The Bloodfarmers, Betty Fords, Calabrese, Blitzkid, Cryptkeeper Five, and plenty more!
