Toris Badic is a DJ and producer from Belgrade, Serbia.

His interest in electronic dance music started as an early teenager, when he first discovered Chicago house, Detroit techno and also UK Breakbeat / Hardcore (Altern8, SL2, The Prodigy, Acen, House Crew etc ...)

Toris embarked on his DJing career in 1994, mixing Detroit and acid techno. As time went by, his DJing style embraced more minimal and techy sounds.

At the same time he started his career as a producer with a group of friends.

The only difference he found in producing his own music, was that what he was creating wasn't techno or house at all. It was mainly breakbeat and trip hop tracks, influenced by his love for those sounds.

By 1998 his DJing career was getting huge as he found himself playing sets in the best clubs across Serbia.

After 10 years of clubs, raves and parties, DJing night in, night out, Toris realized that he wanted more. He made a decision to reduce his DJ gigs and concentrate on studio work.

In 2009 he started making his first techouse and minimal tracks, learning greatly in the process.

At the end of 2010 he signed his first record deal for "Dark EP" with 'Retorica Recordings' - a fresh
tech house label from Bogota, Colombia. 'Dark EP' was released in March 2011 and in the first week it
hit the top 20 on Juno's minimal and tech house charts.

Meanwhile his soundcloud started to grow, with his sounds being recognized and loved by many people across the globe.

Worldwide labels started paying attention.

'Code2 Records', a huge tech house and minimal label from Germany were among the first to raise an interest and signed 3 EPs. "Hello Miami", "One - Just Bleach" and also an EP for Code2's sub label "Taldor Music" for "Girl From Ipanema" with remixes from Uusikartano and Wez G.

His remixing skills were also being recognized and he created 3 new remixes.

The first remix was for 'AcidToyz - Down on the road', on Triskel-Tech Recordings (a huge minimal label from Belgium). This remix gained support from many internationally renowned DJs such as Richie Hawtin.

The second remix was for 'Yakka - Tribe Goes High' - on Bostech records (a fresh new tech house
label)

The third and most innovative remix is for french pop star 'Matt Springfield - Things i've said'. Toris made this pop track made into a banging minimal tune.

Toris' friend 'Uusikartano' told him to apply for the big German remix contest of 'Broombeck - Tik Tik Tak Boom'. Toris never imagined that his remix would even get noticed aomng 211 entries in the competition. However, his remix won first prize and he was lucky enough to extend his studio with some great new equipment.

Toris received a very warm commendation from the original artist 'Broombeck' and also 'Andrea Roma'. this remix will be gaining an official imminent release on Human.

Presently, Toris is preparing a series of 4 'I Love' EPs influenced by music from the Balkans. the first EP will be Serbia-Bulgaria, the second, Croatia-Romania, the third Bosnia-Greece and the fourth, Macedonia-Montenegro.
