Elementree was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1984. He was raised in Cincinnati and still resides there currently. He started paying music at the age of ten playing trombone in the school music band. After growing up and watching his father play guitar he decided to adopt the guitar at the age of 13. Elementree's guitar skills grew by the day as he would house himself up in his room and play for 8-10 hours a day, studying how to write music and play instruments by ear. He began to write his own music by the age of 14 and finally started his first band at 15 called "Off The Cuff". This band would eventually grow to "The Four Ohms" and become what is now Elementree's current live band called "The Ohms". The Ohms' style ranges from deep roots reggae, dancehall, and world music to jazz, rock, soul and many other different genres.

Elementree had always taken a liking to reggae music as a child and he grew closer to it as he turned 16 and his band started taking him into different places musically. Elementree also had a strong love for hip-hop and its production to be specific. After growing a strong sense of how to write songs and produce music Elementree set out on the path to become a great Hip-Hop producer. He spent as much time producing as he had before learning to play guitar and it almost became an obsession to him. As he worked to improve his production and work with various big names in Cincinnati such as BlackJackk, Big Neil, Czar Nok, Cross and others, Elementree also began producing his own tracks for a solo reggae album he had always wanted to do. Taking Inspiration from reggae singers and dubbers such as Sizzla, Capleton, Warrior King, and Bob Marley, Elementree created a 10 song album called Solutions which was a major hit for him within the city and earned him the recognition of many of Ohio's top reggae acts.
