Wilson Tsang (Hong Kong) is a painter as well as an independent musician/singer-song writer. He first learned classical music in his early childhood from his mother. Other influence started from early 80's includes rock, electronic and Jazz. Later, he was exposed to a more alternative world of music, including those of John Zorn, Tom Waits as well as a local band named The Box, which opened his ear to the vast and abstract musical languages. For the past decades he had been exploring music and sound for media such as theatre, dance, video art, animation and film. In 2003, he released his debut CD album "Stuck in Traffic", a mix of folk, rock, jazz and experimental music. His 2nd album "Little Cold Red", released with the help of Harbour Records (an HK indie music label) in 2005, was a more in-depth song collection which focused on memory and desire. The 3rd album "Whale Song" (released by Lona Records in 2008), was an attempt to explore sound in its bareness.
