Born in the U.S.A. to a Hungarian father and a British mother, Földes moved to Paris at the age of six weeks. Studied piano, harmony, counterpoint, clarinet, composition and orchestration at the Paris Ecole Normale de Musique and the Sorbonne.

Földes leads a nomadic life, dividing his time between composing for commercials and films in New York, Los Angeles and recording in Paris where he owns a reording studio with his Brother. He composed an original score for L.I.E. a first feature by director Micheal Cuesta, selected for the 2001 Subdance Film Festival and the New Directors/New Films showcase at the Museum of Modern Art, NYC. He also composed and orchestrated music for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. He recently signed with Brice Gaeta and Laura Engel from Blue Focus management for representation
