The Apple Scruffs were formed almost two years ago, four best friends from Glasgow got together and began writing songs about their everyday lives and surroundings. After four months of hard work and practice the Scruffs played their first gig in Nice N Sleazy supporting the Ronelles at the end of May 2005. From then on the band have built up an amazing reputation in Glasgow supporting well known bands such as Dogs and The Ludes. Their biggest gig to date was in Carlisle were they headlined in front of a 300 strong crowd to a fantastic reception. Several big gigs down south has also widened their credentials and helped land them a single deal with Hijacked Records.

Hijacked snapped up the Scruffs on the basis of only one gig. As the Scottish scene is riding the crest of Britain right now, the young and talented Scruffs are only going to build on this and help it become as huge as it deserves to be.

The Scruffs Hope that the release of this single 'Danielle' will be a pivotal step in getting signed by a major label.
