Tuba player Geir Løvold was connected with the NRK Radio Orchestra and MTV for almost two decades and has been a frequent freelance musician in radio and television, recording studios and the theaters. He has been involved in numerous projects from Children's TV to the performance of commissioned works for solo tuba.

In connection with the Olympics he composed the music and played the tuba for a music installation in the giant sculpture Stream Nest by Japanese artist Takamasa Kuniyasu. The artwork composed of 3000 logs and 23,000 bricks was later moved from Hamar to Osa in Hardanger, where it remains.
