Duff had just hit with GNR and Mother Love Bone was getting close, Grunge hadn't exploded yet and Crisis Party was ripping up Seattle.

Crisis Party got a contract with Metal Blade and we thought one of us had finally made it onto the seen. At Crisis Party's record release a the now defunct Capitol Hill bar , Squid Row, a manager complained to Whiskey Ward that their music was to load so the band commenced to break every window in the place, ultimately being tossed from their own party. This is CP in a nutshell.

Although many of us thought the album was great it was mostly do to our friendships, Crisis Party's live shows was where it was at, they were Rock and Roll. These guys were the real thing and that's always hard to find. I was just learning to play guitar and they showed me the tricks and gave me some pedals and a taste for dope.


A little trivia; Whiskey Ward, the guitar player for the band, his Mother hosted the Sky River Rock Festival on her farm when Ward was just a boy and Kenny went on to form Love Battery.
