British electronic musician, Leo Cunningham combines synthesiser improvisation, field recordings and found-sound sampling to create rich and deep textural landscapes. Influenced by traditional electronic and environmental music; as well as minimal dub and neo-classical, he bases his practice on making organic-sounding electronic music that mirrors the behaviour and rhythms of the natural world.

Lecu has released two EPs (Sunup c.2017; Scented Sonar c.2019) and two improvised, one-take albums (No Expec No Aspir c.2018; Magnetic Energy c.2018). His latest album, In Balance, was released on the 19th June 2020 on Salmon Universe Records.

During time spent recording In Balance in his studio on the Devonshire coast, Lecu established himself as an exciting live improviser within the Cardiff and South West electronic scenes, performing alongside artists such as Laurence Pike, Kayla Painter, Matthew Shaw, Farmhand (Islet), Teddy Hunter and Massa Circles, in intimate cafés and record shops; art shows and chapels; to festival main stages at Truefest (Herefordshire) and Sea Change (Totnes).
