Based in Sterling Heights, MI, the indie pop duo Shoestrings comprised singer/multi-instrumentalist Mario Suau and singer/keyboardist Rose Uytuico. Their debut album, the lovely Wishing on Planes, appeared on the Le Grand Magistery label in 1997.

They have since gone on to form the band Invisible Twin www.myspace.com/invisibletwinband.
