Adjective Animal are an English rock band from Salford, Manchester, formed in 2013. The band consists of Conrad Ankers (lead vocals, guitar, bass guitar, percussion), Matt Davies (lead guitar)

Adjective Animal released their debut EP "This Modern Feeling" in 2013. Featuring an experimental and often ambient sound, with themes of coming to terms with change. They were described by The Guardian as 'downbeat alternative rock'.

The band have developed quickly, from writing songs and recording in a basement at the start of 2013, to performing live at venues around Manchester.

In July 2013 they released their debut LP "Maia" which was described as an "interesting – mostly instrumental – post-rock album that combines freebase jazz to make for some engaging songs" by 'theequalground.com'.

In February 2014 they stripped the band down to its two original songwriters - Conrad Ankers and Matt Davies - and released 'VORKA' under a completely new and more electronic setting, utilising software as more of an instrument. The genre switched, yet it was still part of a similar vein to the earlier releases, with a focus on guitar-heavy ambient soundscapes.

Recently, in August 2014 they released their full-length album 'Becoming' which brought all the styles together into a complete psychedelic rock album, with post-rock and electronica influences. This album is where their sound becomes something more tangible and consistent. Read more on Last.fm.
