State College, Pennsylvania-based musician Charles Ramsey released his debut album, "Something New," in April of 2005. He is a graduate of Penn State University with a B.M. in trombone performance and a M.A. in music theory/history.

"Something New" was recorded with recording engineer-brothers Jake and Dave Munch in a studio near Philadelphia. They also formed the rhythm section for the album.

At the time of his album release, Ramsey was also active as the lead guitarist for the Bullet Parade. He parted ways with the band in September 2005 to perform in support of his solo album.

In live performance settings, Ramsey sings his own material while playing guitar or keyboard. An October 2005 performance saw the addition of guitarist/pianist Erek Kapusta to Ramsey's ensemble. In the spring of 2006, drummer Vince Fiore (also of State College, Pennsylvania indie-rock quartet North) and bassist Dave Bisner joined Kapusta in Ramsey's backing band. Read more on Last.fm.
