Born in Newark, Notts, Jonny was introduced to guitar at an early age by his father who was a guitarist during the beat boom of the early 60's. Jonny developed an abiding love of melodic big production rock through being a young child in the late 1970's. Being a mathematical genius he took to engineering and as he went through Cambridge University he quickly spotted the potential for home recording to actually do 'studio quality recordings'. During his time at university he invented one of the world's first guitar speaker simulators.

Jonny bought his first guitar while in Portsmouth in 1990. Within 3 weeks he had recorded the now sadly lost epic 'Sea of Tranquility' using a four track, a borrowed drum machine, some pedals and one stolen lick. Buoyed by his success he followed this up with the more ambitious 'Ocean of Storms' in which he used his lick again but this time managed to incorporate a tempo change.

From that point he never stopped writing and recording, initially mainly with Richard Adams and Tim Wilson but over the years working with a number of collaborators. Over the last few years he has worked to perfect his own brand of uptempo melodic rock alloyed with a hint of metal washed through with pop. Working from his studio in Reading, Jonny is a very accomplished musician able to play guitar, bass, drums and keyboard as well as singing lead and harmonies. Jonny has around him a team of talented collaborators...'the friends'.
