Novacain can refer to more than one band:

1) An indie-rock band from Leeds, UK, active between 1999-2002. Released the track, "Real Time", on the 'Bright Young Things 2002' compilation album and the track "Now You've Got It, Use It" on the 'Hobgoblin - 25 Years' compilation album, as well as several demos.
