Raised in both England and Australia, and recently relocating to France, jazz vocalist Hetty Kate has released nine albums and graced stages large and small from New Zealand to New York.

Over the last decade, Hetty has had many invitations to work with renowned labels and artists in Australia and Europe, with highlights including touring for over four years with Australian jazz luminary James Morrison (AU), performing with classical pianist Simon Tedeschi (AU) and from 2018 joining The Amazing Keystone Big Band (FR) for their West Side Story concerts, as Maria. Hetty was the featured vocalist in the symphonic concerts The A to Z of Jazz which toured internationally and was performed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Christchurch Symphony and Czech National Symphonic Orchestras, among others.

Hetty has performed regularly at international festivals such as the Melbourne International Jazz Festival (AU), Sapporo Jazz Festival (JP), New Zealand International Jazz Festival (NZ), Prague Proms (CZ), Jazz en Touraine (FR) and many more.

A natural entertainer, Hetty has also been a staple with swing bands internationally, joining pianist Gordon Webster, Grammy award winning big band David Berger & The Sultans of Swing and The Hot Sugar Band, performing music from the 30's and 40's.

In more recent years Hetty has explored a broader repertoire, and enjoys interpreting compositions from Bop and Cool jazz instrumentalists alongside staples from the American Songbook. Her long time collaboration with Australian jazz guitarist James Sherlock has produced three recordings, and continues to be a source of inspiration.
