She walks down the hall with her head down low
Scared to meet his eyes
Even when she hears his voice
She's swarmed with butterflies

It's impossible to get you off my mind
I think about a hundred thoughts and you are 99
I've understood that you will never be mine
And that's fine I'm just breaking inside

He always walks the crowded halls
And is blinded by this light
A girl who keeps her head down low
And never shows her eyes

He's tried to talk to her
But there's no easy way
'Cause every time he raises his voice
She runs away

Oh, it's impossible to get you off my mind
I think about a hundred thoughts and you are 99
I've understood that you will never be mine
And that's fine I'm just breaking inside

And one day
Maybe she'll stay
And start to head over his way
And one day
She'll look into his eyes
And instead of breaking
She'll call him mine

One day
He'll grab her by the waist
And force them to meet face to face
And one day
He'll look into her eyes
And say that "you're my only light"

Oh, it's impossible to get you off my mind
I think about a hundred thoughts and you are 99
[Video version:]
Maybe there's a chance that you will be mine
But right now... I'm just broken inside

I understand that you will never be mine
And that's fine, I'm just breaking insideLyrics provided by TANCODEhttp://lyricsever.com/" readonly=""/>

One Day Lyrics

She stares at her ceiling once again
With a hundred thoughts
"Maybe he knows who I am"
"Actually, probably not"

She walks down the hall with her head down low
Scared to meet his eyes
Even when she hears his voice
She's swarmed with butterflies

It's impossible to get you off my mind
I think about a hundred thoughts and you are 99
I've understood that you will never be mine
And that's fine I'm just breaking inside

He always walks the crowded halls
And is blinded by this light
A girl who keeps her head down low
And never shows her eyes

He's tried to talk to her
But there's no easy way
'Cause every time he raises his voice
She runs away

Oh, it's impossible to get you off my mind
I think about a hundred thoughts and you are 99
I've understood that you will never be mine
And that's fine I'm just breaking inside

And one day
Maybe she'll stay
And start to head over his way
And one day
She'll look into his eyes
And instead of breaking
She'll call him mine

One day
He'll grab her by the waist
And force them to meet face to face
And one day
He'll look into her eyes
And say that "you're my only light"

Oh, it's impossible to get you off my mind
I think about a hundred thoughts and you are 99
[Video version:]
Maybe there's a chance that you will be mine
But right now... I'm just broken inside
[Single version:]
I understand that you will never be mine
And that's fine, I'm just breaking inside

Tate Rosner McRae (born July 1, 2003) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer. Raised in Calgary, Alberta, McRae first rose to prominence as a finalist on the American television show So You Think You Can Dance at just thirteen, showcasing her exceptional dance abilities. Following her TV success, she began sharing original songs and covers on YouTube, quickly gaining a large following for her unique voice and emotive performances.

In 2020, McRae's breakthrough single, "you broke me first," achieved worldwide success, charting internationally and solidifying her as a rising star in pop music. Known for her introspective lyrics and raw vulnerability, McRae’s music often explores themes of heartbreak, self-reflection, and personal growth, resonating deeply with young audiences. Her success has since been cemented by collaborations with major artists, a sold-out tour, and continued releases that blend her emotive vocals with her polished dance background.

McRae’s early career as a competitive dancer has profoundly influenced her music career, giving her performances a unique visual element that captivates her audiences. This influence is evident in her lead single "greedy" off her new album, THINK LATER which draws major inspiration from dance, blending rhythmic beats and dynamic choreography to create an amazing dance-pop track.

McRae's third studio album, "So Close to What" was released on Feb. 21, 2025. The record has been preceded by the singles "It's ok I'm ok", “2 hands" & “Sports car.” Currently, it is set to be accompanied by the "Miss Possessive" tour: a sold-out arena tour.
