Open My Eyes Lyrics

Too many people,
Coming out of doors
In and out of my life
In the night, in the day,
I've got to make it on my own

Somebody asked me,
How do you do it
Tell them that I'm justified
of the truth to myself
you know I feel so low

somebody, somebody, somebody come and open my eyes
somebody, somebody, somebody come and open my eyes.

Complicate the matter
Playing on the weakness
Taking all of my time
I'll go down, with the ship
To the bottom like a stone

Falling off the ladder
Holy water hell hound
Falling like a jack knife
But the truth to myself
you know it cuts through the bone

somebody, somebody, somebody come and open my eyes
somebody, somebody, somebody come and open my eyes.

somebody, somebody, somebody come and open my eyes
somebody, somebody, somebody come and open my eyes.

yeah, (somebody, somebody, somebody open my eyes
somebody, somebody, somebody open my eyes)

somebody, somebody, somebody come and open my eyes
somebody, somebody, somebody come and open my eyes.

somebody, somebody, somebody come and open my eyes
somebody, somebody, somebody come and open my eyes.

Rival Sons is an American rock band from Long Beach, California. Formed in 2009 from the ashes of Scott Holiday’s previous band The Black Summer Crush that featured vocalist Thomas Flowers (Oleander), Michael Miley, and Robin Everhart. Rival Sons was born when Jay Buchanan was persuaded to try playing rock'n'roll and re-record ‘Before The Fire’. The band currently features bassist Dave Beste after Robin Everhart left in August 2013. Signed to Earache Records the band released their fifth studio album titled Hollow Bones on June 10th, 2016.

Reviewing the band’s album Head Down for the BBC Greg Moffitt described the group’s sound as "electrifying blend of Led Zeppelin, Free, Bad Company, Deep Purple, The Doors and a dozen others."
