Wissam El Amir is one of Lebanon's foremost composers and has composed for most of Lebanon's most famous modern-day singers. Wissam's singing career pales in comparison to his great career as a composer but he his solo albums include "Mahsouba", "Qalet La", and his latest "Bint El Jam'a". Wissam has composed for Najwa Karam, Zein El Omr, Rouwaida Attieh, Katia Harb, Haifa Wehbe, Pascale Machaalani, Carole Samaha, Alaa El Zalzali, Diana Haddad, Darine Hadchiti, and Assi Al Helani, among tens of other famous and rising stars.

Some of Wissam's most famous recent compositions include "Ahla Oushaq" by Zein El Omr, "Jerouhi" by Rouwaida Attieh, "Arrebni Mennak" by Pascale Machaalani, "Bi Hawak" and "El Hanouneh" by Najwa Karam, "Law Ma Dkhelt Eb Rassi" by Diana Haddad, "Bous El Wawa" by Haifa Wehbe, and "Kif Baddi" by Samer Doumit. The vast majority of his songs are sung in the Lebanese Arabic dialect, however he has composed some songs for Najwa Karam and Rouwaida Attieh in the Khaliji (Arabian Gulf) dialect, written by Saudi poet/lyricist Sa'oud El Sharbatli.
