DJ Tamerax (AKA: Corey Cutting) is no stranger to the Quebec / Ontario underground rave scene. Playing his thundering selection of hard trance, hardstyle, and freeform Tamerax has been wreaking havoc on dance floors in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, and as far as Vancouver for over 8 years now. He’s defiantly a crowd favorite. Why? Some say it’s his great track selection and smooth mixing skills for just the right moment. Having a good ear for songs isn’t a surprise: he was a radio disk jockey at the local radio station when he was only 16 year old. Others say it’s because he gets so into the music that he is usually dancing harder behind the decks than most people in front of them. Whether it’s dancing, jumping around, or yelling with the crowd, Tamerax truly knows how to work the dance floor into a frenzy and leave them always wanting more. He really makes an effort to get to know what the people want and then tries his best to give it to them with a smile.

Tamerax started off in the Ottawa scene as a promoter in 1999. During that time got to listen to a lot of amazing DJs who were an inspiration and showed him how to work the crowd. As he listened to what they played and how they reacted with the crowd, he took what they did and made it his own by finally jumping on the decks himself in 2001. Starting off with hard trance, his love of music and styles have expanded to include hardstyle, freeform, UK hardcore, gabber, and drum and bass. There is no shortage of creativity and possibilities for sets.

In 2007, Tamerax setup a permanent home studio and is concentrating on making pounding freeform and hard trances tracks with a release already on Canada’s most famous freeform label, Blizzard Tracks. In the works are more tunes and a live PA show, sure to blow the roof off.

Over the years, Tamerax has had the privilege of playing with some of the greatest names in the industry including: Hennes and Cold, Derb, Kev Energy, Uplift, Orbit1, Marc Smith, Scott Brown, Sharkey, Lenny Dee, DJ Promo, Phosphor, Delta 9, AC Slater ,DJ Spree, Luke Spellbound and Dodgee.
