Paradero is a Folk Rock musical group from Santiago, Chile.
Their music is characterized by its eclecticism and by the variety of sound, with several influences such as Los Jaivas, Café Tacuba, Pedro Aznar, Congreso, among others.
Since July 2006, the members of Paradero are:
Araceli Dávila (Voice, Venezuelan Cuatro and Keyboards)
Mauricio González (Electric Guitar)
Aintzane Lorca (West concert flute, Voices, Accordion)
Ignacio Salas (Bass, Tambourine)
Renato Valenzuela (Drums, Percussion, Voices)
Paradero was formed in April 2005 by Araceli Dávila, Ignacio Salas and Mauricio González. The three of them contacted Osvaldo Artaza to play the western concert flute, to make an special sound joining the flute with an electrical guitar, a bass and a keyboard. In October 2005, Camila, a cajón player and percusionist also join the band but she left in November. In December of that year, Renato Valenzuela entered the band to play the drums and some other percussions.
In July 2006, after one year with the band, Osvaldo left Paradero to focus on his lawyer's career. At that moment Aintzane Lorca, who already was a very good friend of all the other members, join the band to replace Osvaldo.
