Red Leather is an anonymous American singer and songwriter blending country, alternative rock, and rockabilly influences. Originally from Reno, Nevada, and now based in Los Angeles, he is known for his raw, emotionally charged songs and his mysterious appearance — he always wears a red fringed hat that completely covers his face. This signature look symbolizes his desire to stay anonymous and break free from his past.

Red Leather began his artistic journey in 2021, performing as a street musician on Hollywood Boulevard. During this time, he was battling severe addiction, mental health struggles, and even survived a suicide attempt and a near-fatal overdose in Las Vegas. His music reflects these dark experiences, tackling themes of faith, loss, addiction, and redemption with brutal honesty.

In June 2022, he released his debut single, “The Only Time It Rains in Hollywood”, a heartfelt track portraying the harsh realities of homelessness and despair. This was followed by singles like “Sins”, “Deathwish”, and “Poison”, all rooted in his personal journey. His deep, gravelly voice and storytelling lyrics quickly gained traction on social media, especially TikTok, where he now has hundreds of thousands of followers.

His debut album, Reno, was released in November 2023, marking a major milestone in his career. The 14-track project is a reflection of his past and his path to recovery, blending haunting melodies with raw emotion. He also launched the "Burn In Hell" tour, performing in cities like Los Angeles, Austin, Reno, and Las Vegas.

Despite his hidden identity, Red Leather’s authenticity and vulnerability have earned him a devoted fanbase and millions of streams across platforms. Through his music, he tells the story of a man who nearly lost everything — and is now singing his way back to life. Read more on Last.fm.
