Part folk, part soul, part rock 'n roll. Luke blends an artistic mind with a conscious heart. Your average white, middle class, educated teacher's kid hippie wannabe art school musician? He may look the part but he's got the soul of a third world revolutionary pulsing in his heart. Luke's melodic blend of acoustic guitar loops, picking, thumping, scratching, strumming with the beating of the drum that sings along with the sound of the voice you'll mistake for your own. If your head's spinning and you like it, you're experiencing theOneManBand.

My musical roots date back to ‘94 rockin drums and singin’ harmonies in the Minot, ND rock band AfroDavis. After four years, we separated to further our educations.

In 1999, Mike Miller, Neal Peterson, Jeremy Houser and I formed Curious Yello and started bringing melodic rock to the masses of Fargo-Moorhead.

Moving out from behind the drum set I picked up the electric guitar and transitioned from drummer to frontman and songwriter. After three successful years of gigging, we made Makoche Studios in Bismarck our home for a week and recorded our debut album, Wish, with Grammy-nominated producer Dave Swenson at the controls.

Curious Yello called it quits after five great years and I began to wander a new path as a songwriter leaving bar chords and the electric guitar behind for finger-picking and an acoustic. The hard-charging love-drenched rock of Curious Yello evolved into heartfelt reflections on life and inner struggle while I began experimenting with looping and slowly became the One Man Band.

In search of the perfect loop, my bandmates on this journey are the acoustic guitar, a big ‘ol djembe and my voice. I’ve let the rock star fade into the artist and I’m building a following like I build a three part harmony, on the stage.
