Formed in 2003 as a reaction to the dying Essex rock scene, Niota brings together the intensity of Poison The Well with the passion of the Deftones.

The band have released numerous samplers, most notably the Sepia EP which has gained considerable acclaim from many corners of the rock press, and the 2004 Sampler which was voted no.8 in GigsUnlimited's Top Ten CDs of 2004.

Having earned a reputation as a powerful and energetic live band, Niota have played dozens of shows since their inception, including headline slots at the prestigious London Garage, Mean Fiddler and Bull&Gate;, and numerous appearances across the UK.

September 26th 2005 sees the release of Niota's debut CD, Cold Red, through Casket Music. The release will be available internationally and was mastered by Mike Marsh (Coldplay, U2, Dizzee Rascal) at the world famous Exchange in Camden. Read more on Last.fm.
