Haap was formed July 2012 in Bergen, Norway. Haap is soprano Heidi Lambach and composer/producer Jørn Lavoll.
Lavoll and Lambach first met when they were both booked for doing a series of radio spots. Their mutual love for dramatic and conceptual music made them decide to try writing something together. The experiment was very fruitful, and very shortly after they released the Haap debut-single "Uena".
"Uena" set the tone for what would become the "sound of Haap". Deep rumbly basses, huge orchestral arrangements, intense electronic soundscapes and Heidi Lambach's voice soaring high above.
