Ward White Is The Matador, the new album from Ward White, is available now.

Featured in New York Magazine, MAGNET, and CMJ, Ward White Is The Matador is a sprawling, near double-album length foray into genre-hopping art rock. Co-produced by White, and psych-pop auteurs Bryan Scary & Graham Norwood (Bryan Scary & The Shredding Tears, Evil Arrows, The Dough Rollers), Ward White Is The Matador's 14 songs run the gamut from Scott Walker-esque noir croon, to glam, to orchestral pop, closing with a 21-minute, Grand-Guignol fever dream of a track that defies easy description.

Reviewing Ward White's previous album, Bob, iTunes said: "Bob should lighten the heart of anyone who feared that classic art-pop a la David Bowie, Scott Walker, Sparks, et al., was an endangered species." Ward's 2011 release, Done With The Talking Cure, received accolades from The New Yorker, and was named as one of the best records of the year in MAGNET Magazine's Year In Music issue.

In addition to his solo work, Ward is one half of the chamber pop duo, McGinty & White (with former Psychedelic Furs keyboardist, Joe McGinty), whose debut album received praise from The New Yorker, and New York Press, naming it one of the five best albums of 2009. A featured vocalist with the long running Loser's Lounge tribute series in NYC, Ward has performed as a sideman with acts including Bryan Scary, Josh Joplin, Kristian Hoffman , and The Kennedys. He is currently working with internationally known neuroscience researcher, and best-selling author of The Emotional Brain, Dr. Joseph LeDoux, to develop a multimedia performance piece combining science, memoir and music.
