Renounced are a British metalcore band from London, England. Formed in 2013, the band currently consists of lead vocalist Daniel Gray, guitarists Sam Knight & Daniel Rayner, bassist Sammy Urwin (of Employed To Serve) and drummer Jack Bryant. The band's first release was an EP, “Conditioned From Birth” (2013). This record was initially released simultaneously on tape by atonement records on tape and on a self released CD. It has subsequently been re-released many times on tape, vinyl and recently again on CD in 2017 by many different labels around the world. In 2014, they released their debut full-length, The Melancholy We Ache and followed it up in 2016 with Theories of Despair. The band's latest full-length, Beauty is a Destructive Angel was released in 2019. The fusion of melody and aggression that Renounced possess is redolent of the classic wave of metalcore bands that rose to prominence in the late 90's.
