It¹s no wonder why Los Angeles native Zshatwa (pronounced Jhe-Twa) has
become the beautiful sultry songstress that she is today. Zshatwa was born
into a musically inclined family by a mother who sang in the church along
with her other family members. At the tender age of 5, Zshatwa sat in
recording sessions with her mother where she soaked up all there was to know
about recording music. That was the beginning to Zshatwa¹s destined path to
let her love of music become her road to success.

Zshatwa¹s mother saw the talent in her daughter and enrolled her into
Bancroft Middle School, which was a performing arts school geared towards
allowing Zshatwa to develop her talents. Upon graduating, Zshatwa went
straight into one of the most prestigious musical schools in Southern
California Alexander Hamilton Music Academy. It was at Hamilton that Zshatwa was
able to further her training in singing and dancing. She was even offered a deal with R&B
Pop Sensation Mario and Third Street Music Group label owner, Troy Patterson.

Zshatwa’s talents have taken her all over the world and allowed her to work
with some great artists and producers. Zshatwa¹s song “Fresh” featured MC
Lyte. Zshatwa has released two separate mixtapes, Diary Of A Skater Chick &
The Fresh Campaign which combined had more than 110,000downloads.
The first single off The Fresh Campaign Mixtape "California
Boy" made Zshatwa the first and only female artist to win ³Hot New Song of The Day²
on HotNewHipHop.com which generated 12k downloads in that first day.

She’s performed in a number of venues, from Universal City Walk, to the She has also
been featured on Myspace Music numerous times, Singers Room, Power
Players Magazine, She opened up for The Dream¹s sold out show.
Zshatwa has also appeared in videos with Missy Elliott and won the LL Cool J
Boomdizzle contest as well as sang with Lady Gaga and Danced with Pussycat
Dolls.

"Jump" which is Zshatwa's latest song and video has received a lot of press
because of its subject matter about a young girl falling in love so deeply
and feeling like she’d literally and metaphorically “Jump” over the edge for the sincerity
of love. The song gained interest from Yahoo! Music, and they featured Zshatwa on the
Yahoo! Music page.

Zshatwa is currently finishing an EP, which should be out in the winter. Preceding this
will be a host of collaborations, and eclectic visuals building to the release date of her self
