Judy and The Loadies was a band that wasn't around too long, but boy was it cool! It could easily be considered a side project of The Ne'er Do Wells, becuase it basically was The Ne'er Do Wells minus Al. The line up had Chris on drums, Jess on bass, John on guitar and vocals, and Judy singing! They had many great songs... Anyhow, you can hear their recordings on Gift of Knowlegde, a split CD with The Ne'er Do Wells.

Now, John keeps telling stories of kids affected by the band. One is a group of kids who came to Arcata from LA for a Halloween party dressed as Judy and The Loadies (the girl even brought her knitting!). Other stories include guys proposing to Judy and sending her gifts (like gift certificates to Toys R Us!). But perhaps one of the most lasting effects of this band is closer to home within the band. You see, John and Judy got married! I a gotta say, they are a cute couple together. The wedding was on John's birthday, so I guess he can't really forget his aniversary.
