Places to Go Lyrics

I got, I got
I got places to
Actin' like they feelin' my pain, my pain
I got places to go
I got, I got
I got places to
Actin' like they feelin' my pain, my pain
I got places to go

I feel like we should get together
Then maybe I, I'll feel so much better
And this rainy weather ain't helpin'
Boys in leather jackets
They are walkin' by
Yeah they remind me
How tiring work is
I just wanna fly away and ignore this
I just wanna call it quits, I'm a quick fix
While he's out there taking his
I just need someone to break this wall of bricks I've built

So I wanna know
What's the weather like in Toronto
This time of the year
It should be so cold
But I just need another place to go
Cause I can't be here no more, no more

I got, I got
I got places to
Actin' like they feelin' my pain, my pain
I got places to go

I feel like work is overbearing me
And what is life when you are not even living?
I am tired of it all, pleasing everyone I know
Cause when I do it, I don't know if it's worth it
How tiring work is, yeah
I just wanna fly away and ignore this
Sometimes I wanna call it quits cause it's a business
Everyone is making hits
I just wanna take a break from everything that I've been

So I wanna know
What's the weather like in New York
This time of the year
It should be so cold
But I just need another place to go
Cause I can't be here no more, no more
Cause I wanna know
What's the weather like in Kuala Lumpur
This time of the year
It's so beautiful
I just need a place to call home
Cause I can't be here no more, no more

Here no more, no more
I got places to go
Here no more
Actin' like they feelin' my pain, my pain
I got places to go
I can't be here no more, no more, no more
I got places to go
Actin' like they feelin' my pain, my pain
I got places to go

Yuna (real name; Yunalis Zarai) is an acoustic/alternative/pop singer-songwriter originating from Selangor, Malaysia and is now based in Selangor, Malaysia and Los Angeles, US. She began making a mark for herself in the local independent scene in 2007, before releasing her demo in February 2008. Her debut EP, Yuna EP, was released in October 2008. Her debut album was finally released in July 2010, titled Decorate.

Yuna has been cementing herself in the local scene with complementary comparisons to the likes of Norah Jones and Rachael Yamagata. Her influences include Fiona Apple, Feist, Lykke Li, Sia, Bob Dylan and The Cardigans. Yuna describes her music as "a cross between Mary Poppins and Coldplay".

One of the first few people who expressed interest in her music was Farhan Fadzlishah aka Pa'an (Telephony Delivery), who later became her supporting guitarist. Along the way, Efry Arwis (Lightcraft) helped her with the bass while Adib handled the drums. Adil Ali (Seven Collar T-shirt) replaced Adib after the latter quit to concentrate on his drumming role in Oh Chentaku.

Yuna was eventually discovered in the US by the Indie-Pop record label and management company. They flew out to Malaysia to convince her to sign with them and then proceeded to get her a deal with Fader Label, a record label based in New York, in February 2011. She released her debut US EP, Decorate - EP, in the United States in March the same year. In February 2012, Yuna released her second Malaysian full-length album, Terukir Di Bintang. Her self-titled US full-length album, Yuna, was released on April 24, 2012.
