The Bird Sang Song is a Canadian Indie Rock quartet from Edmonton, AB formed in 2008. The band consists of two singer/songwriters, Curtis Van Brabant(Acoustic Guitar) and Mark Coughlan (Electric Guitar) it also features Kyle Gillis (Bass) and Kevin Wiebe(Drums). Their first album entitled Goodwill Died with the Century was created over two months at Octopus Royalty Studios in spring 2008 and was the bands musical debut. Their next full length album Give This to my Children was created the next summer in July of 2009 and features vocals by Kalie Steida and Violin by Sean Andrea. While Curtis Van Brabant has a more narrative and darker style of writing, Mark Coughlan is shifted more too quirky riffs and large, full band stage presence.
