2% is the economic name of Trenton McElhinney for his musical project and exploration with sound. Using his monome, running a live sample-cutting platform, 2% creates electronic music that extends from beat driven hip-hop to milky ambient soundscapes. Alongside his photography and design, 2%'s work follows a direction that embraces nature while in harmony with the technology of today.
