Fresh and creative ambient/electronica with a psychedelic touch. ESE are from Milano, Italy - a collective of two guys (plus some collaborations), they love music and try to communicate within the music itself their emotions, feelings, philosophy and vision of the world.
Piero Marchesi & Stefano Contini started collaborating in 1999, coming from different musical experiences. They joined through a common interest for ethnological & ethnobotanical studies, their long friendship merged in this musical ambient-electro project.
ESE were broadcasted different times on RAI (Italian national radio), plus played different live gigs in Italy.
Invited for some live gigs in Amsterdam they had the opportunity of refining what became their latest musical work: the album "The Shroom Experience". Different songs in fact were arranged and mastered between Milano and Amsterdam (where Stefano was working at that time).
Pure original sounds and samplings taken from different locations around the world (especially Mexico) were added on this masterpiece. This album represent a meditative situation; a voyage through the consciousness of Ancient Spaces, where the time is just an idea that flows away. Nature is one of the great Doors between us and those Sacred Spaces. In short words what people can find on "The Shroom Experience" are selected Ambient tunes & extra-sensorial sounds!
"Quarto" out now! Entheogenic Sound Explorers fourth and most consistent album so far, offering an hours worth of adventurous dubby, hypnotic ambient. With "Quarto" Stefano Contini & Piero Marchesi have made another step in pushing their composing and production skills to a higher level. The albums seems to tell a story, travelling through psychedelic landscapes with a sense of hope and being. Put on repeat and you will discover new paths with each listen.
With our Music we would like to encourage self and cosmic consciousness, respect for Nature and Sacred Plants, and development of the human being through exploration of the self, arts and meditation. To explore the dimensions of the magic garden, whether it be vegetable, animal or more spiritual and cosmic, is to undertake a trip toward our deeper perception, which recalls the multiple faces of our vital cradle, Mother Earth, Gaia. What we want to represent is a range of vibrations that can only be discovered through careful listening. By using certain sounds that are close to our emotional and spiritual sphere, we want to represent our origins, our roots, which in everyday life aren't always represented at their best, but which can certainly help in taking a better approach toward our existence. We wish you a Good Listening.

"Magic Garden" review (3rd album released):
"Entheogenic Sound Explorers are Stefano Contini and Piero Marchesi and Magic Garden is their third album on Databloem.
Over the years the band have taken several musical influences and channeled them into something that is truly their own.
But if comparisons must be made it could be with The Orb or Future Sound Of London.
Expect a masterful blend of analog and digital sounds, which will carry you away on a psychedelic journey through the gardens of dubby, hypnotic ambient."
