Born August 5, 1982 in Dallas, TX. Daniel "D Slim" Johnson was raised in the southwest part of the city referred to as Oak Cliff. It was back in Elementary, that he made his mind up that music would be his future. From the school bus in Grade School to High School hallways, classrooms, lunchrooms, or wherever he could be heard, DSlim displayed undeniable skills which gained him popularity amongst peers and other aspiring artist. While still in high school, in '97 he became member of F.C, "Fatal Collision"(A group formed of childhood friends) and started recording mixtape tracks to distribute throughout the neighborhood. In 2001 the group released there self titled album, but by the end of the year due to various reasons the group split and DSlim was then approached by World Fame to become a solo Artist on Dallas' own Independent Grifter Records, along side K Rock and C Pone. After four release under Grifter from 2001-2003, and realizing there's more to music, other than just being an artist, D Slim took a back seat to the music side to learn more about the actual business. In 2006 he went on to build his own label, and in 2008 released there first mixtape "Grind Season". Current Solo projects from D Slim include his first Official Release "Dollaz N Sense", which is available now, with follow up "A Dolla and A Dream" coming soon. He was also granted the privilege, to be the only Southern Artist on the Highly Acclaimed Release "East Coast Blocks Starz", along side Philly Artist Mansion T.U.T.T and State Property Affiliate Oschino Vazques. Focused on his dream, D Slim vows to continue working hard and staying dedicated to his craft, and looks to expand his vision in music worldwide and become a household name.
