Formed in Minneapolis in 2005, A Verse Unsung is a unique four piece rock band that has already made a dent in the music scene. Every member of the band, just out of high school, started playing shows early 2006 at local house parties. This Midwest rock group consists of Jake Scherer (Guitar/Vocals), Dan Garland (Guitar), Kenny Fritze (Bass), and Aaron Gates (Drums) and Matt Brady (Something). "We are very young but we take this very seriously, it's our life, love, and passion", explains Jake Scherer of A Verse Unsung.

A Verse Unsung's full length debut album was recorded and produced by Grammy winning producer, Steve Hodge and was released November 6th, 2007. The songs are honest, expressive, and dynamic. This album is a true testament of inordinate songwriting skills. The band's debut EP sold over 1200 copies in less than a year sparking interest in rock fan's across the country. Before the release of their debut LP, A Verse Unsung has already shared the stage with The Flaming Lips (Monolith Festival @ Red Rocks), Spoon, and Brian Jonestown Massacre. Along with major shows, the band has had already gotten music licensing deals with MTV and are SESAC affiliates.

With the release of their debut album, A Verse Unsung will be hitting the road with rockers Secret Lives! & Karate High School.
