Tilburg, Netherlands (1992 - present)

Maurice Leenaars (born 1966 in Eindhoven, Netherlands) is a dutch Flamenco Guitar player. He started playing classical guitar at the age of 7, already being influenced by the flamenco play of his father, his uncle and Paco de Lucia. When he was 17 he went to the Classical Conservatory in Tilburg. In 1989 he graduated from conservatory and he moved to Sevilla, Spain for twelve months, where he played with many flamenco artists.

Back in Holland he formed a quartet and he started collaborating with Dutch jazz saxophonist Paul van Kemenade.
