Gwendolyn M. Smith is the youngest of 3 girls. Well, actually 4. Her oldest sister was a twin but one was stillborn. Gwendolyn grew up in a small town in California. Her parents, Lee Edward and Catherine Smith raised their children in a Christian home. It wasn't until her first year in college that Gwendolyn started to write songs.
