Sweet Pete is a rock and roll artist based just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, along the banks of the Delaware River. His music draws heavily from the frenetic pub rock boogie and clever songwriting of Nick Lowe, the garage rock style of The Trashmen, and the melodicism of Dave Edmunds.

Prior to his solo career, Sweet Pete spent a decade leading the Connecticut-based garage rock outfit Jacques Le Coque. He launched his solo endeavor in 2021 with the release of his debut record, Say Hello, via Nudie Records. The album blends power pop sensibilities with an eclectic mix of rock and roll styles, firmly rooting itself in the tradition of high-energy pub rock. Say Hello was recorded with Collin J. Rocker of OLD LADY and Trevor Lake of Televisionaries, and features a guest appearance by New York City rock and roll DJ Jonathan Toubin. Following its release, the record received airplay on independent radio stations including WFMU, KEXP, and WPKN.

In 2022, Sweet Pete released the I Wanna Be A Piggy 7-inch single, also through Nudie Records. The title track serves as a tribute to The Coasters and New York City cult band The Piggies, while the B-side features a homespun cover of The Kinks' "Animal Farm."

In April 2025, Sweet Pete released his second full-length album, Three Ring, on Nudie Records. The record expands on his established sound, incorporating elements of power pop, garage rock, glam, and Americana. Three Ring was recorded by Hunter Davidsohn of OLD LADY and Underground River at Business District Recording.

As a live performer, Sweet Pete has shared stages with notable acts such as Wreckless Eric, Greg Cartwright, The Out-Sect, Bloodshot Bill, and DADDY LONG LEGS. His live backing band—who also serve as the studio band for Three Ring—consists of guitarist Tiger Ford Cabus, drummer Raeli Rose, and bassist Dan Thomas, all members of the Pennsylvania honky-tonk band Ma'aM.
