Dj Rumble aka Cris Rumble, HeadPhunk, Zentinalz began his first musical interaction playing live drums in his uncles attic aged 10, this is probably explains why he has a strong passion for drums & percussion. Soon enough after inheriting his first drum machine, Roland 726 & 909 and a Korg Poly 800 keyboard, the fun began over-standing the functions, creating different formations. Although he initally took a large interest in Dub, Rares, Funk, Soul, Electro, Hip Hop, Many can honestly say that he was always on a search for a new type of sound or different type of frequency. As for his Fam, Friends & himself music has always been reflective & rejoicing, re-interpretations of the many trials & tribulations throughout the many stages of human interaction. Realising the treasures placed right under his nose, Rumble expressing his enjoyment for music began busting some of the old late 60s to 70s dance moves (funky chicken) entertaining his fam on the front room carpet, moving on to bussin flying turtles & popin ’n’ lockin on cardboard boxes around the endz. The sound wave itch continued even further throughout his adolescent years picking up plenty of vibes on UK radio stations such as Strong Island, Friends and Centerforce. Being exposed to rare & classic collections from his fams grand archives, heightened Rumble’s fever for more breaks, beats & bass with craggy-ness of course! This kept the symptoms under manners for a short time until he broke out in a full musical fever, combining & mixing different types of music in a friends dark, damp’n’cold garage in NW London playing oldskool breaks, Funk, Jazz, Electro, Hip hop, US House ’n’ Techno,. By the mid/late 80s, more opportunities came knocking, via the many (Darn heavy!!) TDK MA60 mix-tapes handed out, and also by word of mouth- sound of ear. Soon enough, things progressed from Jammin in the bedroom (garage), to the good ole Blues party then on to local bars and clubs. It was at that moment Dj Rumble was united with (to him) the countries most innovative and influential label REINFORCED Records (Dollis Hill), earning a co-pilot position Flinging down nuff beats, alongside dedicators Marc Mac, Dego, Ranks, Rebel, Gus and Dj Stretch feeding the true vibe to the peoples. Through much hard work, support and training (sending out those topspins serves on the table), Rumble’s assistance continued, bringing music labelled Jungle to new heights for the people of London & Worldwide. By mid-90s Rumble was offered a position as a presenter on the community radio station called SKY Fm, who were responsible for a many a roadblocks Down at the Notting Hill carnival. As chronological time pasted & technological styles advanced, Rumble decided to fully expose himself to other endeavours such as Music Production (Twisted Funk Records), Acting and Internet radio (nuwaveradio) where many musical fusions, tastes and visions can be experienced.
