A Espiral de Bukowski (AEdB) is a Brazilian duo making what we call "on-the-spot-music" (or something like experimental-drone-noise-psychedelic-kraut-dub-electronic improvisation-driven music); a project born during the first days of 2012, by Cesar Zanin (synthesizer, effects processor, sampler, loop station) and Mariana Cetra (keyboard with effect pedals, accordion, melodica), in hibernation for the rest of that year and then resumed with new ideas.

The first incarnation of the project was all acoustic (ac guitar, ukulele, accordion, tambourine, melodica, flute, small percussion). The EP Temas entre Ilhabela e Sao Tome das Letras - 12/2011, was recorded on the first day of 2012 in a hostel room and released almost one year later.

Then in the beginning of 2013 AEdB has become more and more experimental.
Now the duo uses accordion, melodica, small percussion, live programming, effects, frequency and tone manipulation, sampling, loops, full of effects keyboard, all with sweet melodies buried under.
There are no rehearsals.
Gigs and recording sessions always bring new pieces of music.

In 2013 they released a handmade-cover 7” vinyl record (split with the band Glassbox), via crowdfunding, while toured South America with support from the Brazilian Ministry of Culture, playing 11 shows in about 3 weeks through Chile, Uruguay and Southern Brazil.
The material from the recording session for the vinyl became the mini-album Primeira Sessão no Walden 2013-01-22.
There were also two albums in collaboration, with Al Jamal (from Los Angeles, USA) and with A Full Cosmic Sound (from Santiago, Chile).
The first full album was released late in 2013 and is called Estranheza, Encanto e Outras Partículas Elementares do Éter que o Vácuo Peidou.

In 2014 three albums released and participation on three compilations:
- A split album between AEdB and A Full Cosmic Sound, released by O Bosque/Woodland recordings, on limited edition cassette (produced in England).
- The second full album, called B1620-25i, by the following labels: O Bosque/Woodland (SP/UK); Sinewave (SP); TOC (RJ); Grimm Goat (RS); ETCS (Chile); Plataforma (RS).
- The third full album, called Cones e glóbulos galeiformes de frequência e períodos logarítmicos, by the following labels: O Bosque/Woodland (SP/UK); Plataforma (RS); PETROGLYPH MUSIC (Norway).
- compilation Hominis Canidae #46 - Março (2014), by the blog Hominis Canidae, from Recife (Brazil).
- compilation Feel Guide Vol. 2, by the blog Caliper Music, from Los Angeles (USA).
- compilation V.A - One Minute of no Love, by the label Plataforma Records, from Porto Alegre (Brazil).

The EP Quanta mole is the duo’s first release of 2015 and is a teaser for their first physical full album, called AEdB. On AEdB there are themes from all phases of the project, from the folk beginnings up to the present experimental free improv.
