In beginning, Le Chaudron Magique (The Magic Cauldron) is an artistic collective from France created in 2005. Composed of musicians, graphic and video designers, it's born from this collective a dub band.
Le Chaudron Magique's music is influenced by the dub roots but also by the drum'n'bass and the dance-hall.

A first album was published by the band in year 2007 under the name "Première Portée" (First Reach) as well as a free maxi, "Fresh Potion", with 5 tracks extracted from the album on the netlabel "Fresh Pulp Records".
