Ranging from somewhere between electronic and experimental, the music of Alex Mendoza is hard to put into words upon first listen. Eventually, over time, it starts to become much clearer of what the young prolific Australian musician is actually trying to achieve through his music.

Mendoza (born November 17, 2002) began making music at the age of fourteen, playing with different styles of music heavily influenced by artists he listened to when he was younger, such as Tangerine Dream and Jean-Michel Jarre. These styles of music greatly influenced Mendoza to work on his own style of music, though much of it contains very little to no words at all, frequently stating that he wants the music to "speak for itself".

In 2017, he created his very first song "One-One-One-Seven" (indicting his birthdate), a short track which used various synths. At the time of its release, it received very little praise, though now the song is considered to be lost due to technical errors. Since then, this has only influenced him to continue with making music, this time full length studio albums.

Mendoza graduated from high school only a few years later, and despite his best efforts into looking to form with a band to further explore his unique vision, ultimately made the decision to pursue a solo career, whilst still harnessing inspiration from other genres, such as new age, dance, and alternative music.
