Jim Post first came to prominence in and around the early 1970's with his album on Fantasy Records called Jim Post ' Colorado Exile'. produced by Jim Post and Ed Bogas. The album contains inspired song come verse, recalling the the wonder of the wilderness and the glory of the mountains and woods of Colorado. The album also contains tracks like ' Look Over Yonder ', ..... tell me what you see.
I see a young man hanging from a tree.
I see a poor boy dying to be free,....... and so on. A reference to the days of the white racism and slavery of the Southern States of America.
To listen to Jim Post on this album, is maybe to hear the voice of the future and of a man taken with an alternate style of life and living far away from the city. His voice can color the mind and conjure up a vision of what he is singing about. The pure joy of this album maybe unsurpassed for it's message of love and understanding from the early days of ' Flower Power '. Read more on Last.fm.
